A native of the historic Claddagh area of Galway, Arthur is a fully accredited regional tour guide for Galway City and its environs, with a current certification from Fáilte Ireland (the official Irish tourist board).

Prior to earning his tour guide credentials, Arthur owned and operated a landmark Galway store for over 40 years, becoming an extremely well-known figure around the town! When, in August 2022, Arthur decided to retire and close his doors for the final time, the event was covered by local media including the Connacht Tribune and GalwayBeo.

 

Newly-retired, Arthur is now focusing full-time on his tour guiding, with a specialty in small-group walking tours. He has been profiled by a national newspaper, the Irish Independent. Arthur is also regularly featured in local social media.
